We wish Erin well on her westward expansion!  We have enjoyed her spirit and contribution here at Parlor as a sweetheart, talented hairdresser, and friend! 

 

Erin is both hairdresser and painter and it is with an artist's eye that she approaches the craft of haircutting and coloring. During her consultations you can always sense that she lives to create. Erin has a diligent and inquisitive energy while she scrutinizes every detail, always attempting to refine and strengthen her end result. She consistently delivers a look that is both satisfying to her guests and stretches boundaries when desired. A Parlor protégés, she is one of Gwenn's hairdressers of choice for her own hair. Erin has an open minded energy that welcomes collaboration. She combines her artistic strength and your desires, then responds with incredible inspiration.

PARLOR'S Kids and Teens Style Lab

In celebration of Earth Month,
Parlor will be hosting a children's hairstyling tutorial;

The Kids and Teens Style Lab.

The event will be a fundraiser to raise money to be donated to

Clean Ocean Action for Earth Day!

The event will be held at Parlor 102 Avenue B on Wednesday, April 11th from 12pm to 2pm (during Spring break).

Teens, this is a great way to learn a few tricks of the trade for upcoming dances or events from the pros!

Parents, this is your chance to learn from the experts to become a bun twisting pro for your pirouetting ballerina, or to learn braiding techniques for your Earth lovin' nature girls, or to master quick 5 minute styles for your restless city-walking, skate-boarding, bike-riding boys.

In addition, Parlor's Owner Gwenn LeMoine will be offering a tutorial on simple haircutting techniques like one length trims and bang cutting for the "pre-Parlor" years :)
During the Style Lab, everyone will also be able to learn more about Earth Day and conservation, at our craft table, or create mixed media artwork using re-used and recycled materials.

Kids and Teens will also have the opportunity to tell us why their Mom is the best and enter her into our Mother's Day drawing  for a chance to win a day of pampering at Parlor!

PARLOR'S Holiday Style Lab - photos!

On January 15th, Parlor had its first ever Style Lab!   

 It was an evening full of fun, fabulous hair styling, food and wine, friendship and laughter.

 The Parlor Beauty Experts set up stations for one on one styling tutorials in Braiding, Curl Styling, Flat Iron Styling, Up-Do styling, and Make-Up techniques.  The evening soiree was documented by Photographer Michelle Christiance.

Many colorful conversations were had, friendships formed, and beauty created!

In the end, we were able to raise $645 for the Rotary Flood Relief Fund for the communities effected by Hurricane Irene in Upstate New York.
