PARLOR'S Kids and Teens Style Lab

In celebration of Earth Month,
Parlor will be hosting a children's hairstyling tutorial;

The Kids and Teens Style Lab.

The event will be a fundraiser to raise money to be donated to

Clean Ocean Action for Earth Day!

The event will be held at Parlor 102 Avenue B on Wednesday, April 11th from 12pm to 2pm (during Spring break).

Teens, this is a great way to learn a few tricks of the trade for upcoming dances or events from the pros!

Parents, this is your chance to learn from the experts to become a bun twisting pro for your pirouetting ballerina, or to learn braiding techniques for your Earth lovin' nature girls, or to master quick 5 minute styles for your restless city-walking, skate-boarding, bike-riding boys.

In addition, Parlor's Owner Gwenn LeMoine will be offering a tutorial on simple haircutting techniques like one length trims and bang cutting for the "pre-Parlor" years :)
During the Style Lab, everyone will also be able to learn more about Earth Day and conservation, at our craft table, or create mixed media artwork using re-used and recycled materials.

Kids and Teens will also have the opportunity to tell us why their Mom is the best and enter her into our Mother's Day drawing  for a chance to win a day of pampering at Parlor!

PARLOR'S Holiday Style Lab - photos!

On January 15th, Parlor had its first ever Style Lab!   

 It was an evening full of fun, fabulous hair styling, food and wine, friendship and laughter.

 The Parlor Beauty Experts set up stations for one on one styling tutorials in Braiding, Curl Styling, Flat Iron Styling, Up-Do styling, and Make-Up techniques.  The evening soiree was documented by Photographer Michelle Christiance.

Many colorful conversations were had, friendships formed, and beauty created!

In the end, we were able to raise $645 for the Rotary Flood Relief Fund for the communities effected by Hurricane Irene in Upstate New York.

Parlor's Holiday Style Lab

You are invited to a night of beauty, style, and fun at Parlor!

On Tuesday, January 10th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm Parlor will be hosting an after hours event, the very first of its kind: The Parlor Style Lab.

Learn how to create professional looks at home with tutorials from your favorite Parlor stylist!

We will be showing you all of our tricks of the trade so you can style yourself for a night out on the town. From simple Up-Do techniques, to Bombshell Blowouts, Braiding, Curl and Flat Iron tricks and more! Enjoy a glass of wine during the event and stop by the make-up station at the end of your tutorial to top off your look with a touch of Aveda's fantastic line of make-up.

 

Tickets to the Style Lab are $20, and all of the proceeds from this fantastic night will be sent to benefit the communities affected by the damages caused Hurricane Irene earlier this year.
