My wife thought I was good looking before.
I just returned to the US after 3 years abroad and the first thing I did was get a haircut. My last experience in Paris left me with what my wife described as a toupe that was attached permanently to my head. I was a regular at Parlor before so I knew they ran a tight ship. I e-mailed for an appointment and asked them to suggest a stylist for my complex coif. Erin was recommended. When I sat down in her chair I really didn't know what I wanted, so I let her do whatever she deemed necessary. Long story short, my wife can't stop staring; In a good way now though, not like I am wearing a wig.

amazing blowout
another amazing experience at parlor. even was there past closing to thoroughly finish my birthday blowout and it looked fabulous. plus the hairspray didnt leave my hair stiff and sticky. simply the best.

A Dream Come True!
After years of enduring mediocre hair cuts and color in my upstate NY hometown, and reading great reviews about Parlor online, I e-mailed Parlor about my hair woes to see if they coud help me. I imediately found myself in direct e-mail communication with the owner herself, Gwenn, who took the time to ask questions and seek information about what I ws trying to achieve. Gwenn even took the time to call me from her home to discuss my goals an to give me her professional asessment! After such wonderful personal attention at the outset, it was easy to overcome my trepidation about "snotty" NYC salons, and I decided to travel to NYC for an appointment with Gwenn at Parlor. Wow, wow and wow. I received the best cut and color I have ever had (at a reasonable price!) in a very friendly and relaxed environment. An overall awesome experience and I would unequivocally recommend Parlor to anyone looking for personal attention and amazing expertise in hair care. (Even the tea was great)! :D

Spectacular, professional and accommodating service in a cooll relaxing and welcoming atmosphere
This visit was my second to The Parlour. The service has only gotten better. I brought my two "tween" daughters with me and they both,left looking like models. Neither has ever asked to make a salon their new haircut place before now.
As for my color and cut I can even recreate it myself at home.

One way to feel wonderful
Coutney and Autumn are charming and talented and refreshingly nice! My hair reflects their expertise and caring ways.
I am truly glad I discovered Parlor in my old neighborhood!

Great color!
I go to Eva and I always love my color! I get compliments all the time. She is so fun I love to just go and hang out with her. Can't wait to come back!

great style
Loved the special style Gwen did on me for a party. It was perfect for a holiday part;y. Gwen knows curly as well as grey hair. I feel so comfortable in her capable hands.

The relaxed, friendly atmosphere at Parlor is a plus.

Exceptional service
Erin does superb work. Period. Got me all set for Christmas and New Year's Eve. Wife even noticed the difference. That's always a good thing. Thanks Erin. You have mad skilz and sing pretty good too! Awesome!

Fantastic Experience!
You know who cares as much about your hair looking and feeling great as you do? This Aveda salon- Erin is my colorist. Erin has shown dedication and experience when making my tresses red. Erin and her manager worked with me to do a deep conditioning treatment that would help my tresses keep their lustrous new color. Innovation and friendliness!

My great hair style
Gwen always gets it right. I've been enjoying a short bobbed style now for about 8 months. Even if I'm caught in the rain the cut always will look good from any angle. She knows hair and how to make it work for your face structure. I got a great shampoo massage and always feel relaxed and cared for when I'm there. I look forward to my next visit.

Always Fabulous Results
The staff are professional and prompt. Aveda professional Michelle is the best
hair stylist that I have ever been to. She always understands exactly what I want and knows how to make it work. You always feel at ease and in the right hands with Michelle and her skill shows when you see the results.

Sarah gets it right!
Sarah did a half highlight and major cut on my horse mane! On my way home to Brooklyn I had to make a few stops. The woman at the bodega, teachers at the school and local Moms all commented on the great new hair style. Hoping I can push them to Parlor and get a referral discount. Only complaint is that you don't have a salon in Brooklyn!! Very happy to return to the EV for visit and am beyond thrilled with my new cut!

Wonderful as always!
I just love this place! Everyone is helpful and friendly and loves what they do. Im going to miss them so much when I go home to Australia, I may have to make special trips back just to get my hair done!!

Really great salon
so i would like to point out the complaints regarding this place are legitimate but if you have gotten your hair cut in Manhattan like ever you have to know this is the way salons do things. they put the lowest price and a smill plus sign next to it. the way to remedy this is to always ask the price of the stylist before booking the apoitnment and if you are new always ask for new talent. I dont have 150 dollars to spend on a haircut so I always ask for new talent at Parlor and am always pleased with their skills and my haircut. Most recently I had Eva who I loved. She was patient when I showed up late and frazzled after work and had to get out quickly. I got a fantastic scalp massage and got more compliments on my cut/style than any other haircut I have ever had. All in all a really great salon with great hairstylists just be careful when booking which is honestly no different than any other NYC salon and trust me I have been to plenty (btw. 5 and 10 atleast)

Fun & relaxing, with great results!
A few hours at Parlor is a treat I'd recommend!
Courtney and Autumn are both talented and personable,the environment is friendly and
attractive and Aveda products are earth friendly.

i trust katja %100. she gets me and gets my hair. we hit a minor snafu along the way this visit but katja handled it like the professional she is and i left one happy camper! and as always allie gave me a kick ass shampoo and blowout. always a 5 star experience at parlor for me!

Great stylist and hair cut
I went to Parlor for the first time with a hair emergency. Giovanna was fantastic. She made me feel comfortable, did not talk me into anything that was not necessary for my hair and gave me a great cut. She really took time to examine my hair. I trusted her completely even after meeting her for the first time. Thanks Giovanna! I will be back.

Michelle is fantastic!
I always get a great cut from Michelle and have such a nice time with her. She's wonderful. When I leave any decisions up to her, she does spot-on work. Everybody on staff is also a delight, and I love coming to Parlor for my appointments - even though I have to come all the way from West Harlem!

happy as always
I always love coming in to parlor to get my hair done. I always have michelle do my highlights, and she is simply my favorite. she is great at listening to what I want, and providing honest and kind advice so I get the best results and look great. Everyone there is super nice, and I love the owner. I've never gotten my hair done with her, yet she always remembers me and makes a point of saying hi. Great place.
